Planning the Perfect Wedding: Paige & Quinn’s Story

Quinn and Paige getting married at the Salem Cross Inn

Planning a wedding can be one of the most stressful yet rewarding experiences for a couple. While some couples—often brides—have a clear vision of their dream day, others may only have a sense of the emotions they want to create but aren’t sure how to bring them to life. My role as a DJ goes beyond just music; I’m a resource and a partner during the planning process, helping couples craft their vision and making it a reality on their big day.

For many couples, there’s a sense of confidence that their guests will dance the night away. But just as often, couples are unsure about how their guests will respond. Sometimes, they’re worried about balancing different musical tastes or catering to a wide range of age groups. That’s completely normal. Most weddings have a diverse mix of guests and require a thoughtful approach to music selection.

When I first connected with Quinn, it was clear he was looking for guidance to plan the wedding of his and his now-wife Paige’s dreams. Often, grooms are tasked with handling specific wedding elements—in this case, the DJ and music. My goal is always to set them up for success. We started by discussing the essentials: Who is coming to your wedding? How do you like to party? What type of music will get your family and friends dancing?

Quinn and I hit it off during this process. He was upfront about not being an expert in wedding planning, and I appreciated his trust in my expertise. By the time we had everything planned, I felt like I truly knew him, which always makes the day more special. Paige was a little nervous about her guests—some family members weren’t big dancers, and there was a strong preference for classic rock. She worried about how the music would flow, but I reassured her. Classic rock? Say no more—I’m a huge fan and was ready to make it work.

The Big Day at Salem Cross Inn

On the day of the wedding, I arrived at the Salem Cross Inn, a stunning 18th-century venue with a rustic and inviting charm. As soon as I stepped out of my car, I was greeted by Quinn and his wedding party. One of his groomsmen handed me a 3D-printed mini guitar, knowing from Quinn that I’m a guitarist with my own YouTube channel. That thoughtful gesture floored me and set the tone for the day—it was going to be something special.

From the picturesque venue to the incredible food, everything came together beautifully. But the real question was: would the guests dance? The answer? Absolutely.

Classic rock filled the air, with hits from Blondie to the Rolling Stones energizing the crowd. We mixed in some 90s and 2000s favorites to keep the vibe fresh, and the dance floor was alive with LED lights and smiling faces. By the end of the night, Paige was visibly relieved and thrilled to see her friends and family dancing and celebrating together.

Bringing Dreams to Life

As a DJ, I pour my heart and soul into every event, hoping to make the couple’s vision a reality. For Paige and Quinn, it was clear we achieved that. When the night was over, they reached out to thank me for helping create the wedding they had dreamed of. Those kinds of moments—the emails, the calls, the connection—are why I love what I do.

I’m so grateful to have gotten to know Quinn and Paige, and I look forward to the next time we can celebrate together.
